Collage is an exquisite technique using magazine paper, scissors and glue. After drawing the image, instead of painting with a brush, the 'colours' are cut out of magazines and glued onto a paper. The variety and use of the colour and the density of the shade the artist tries to attain demands intense selection, review, imagination and tremendous attention to detail. Creating images with paper is a tedious task - each collage takes a minimum of 6 months to produce. The completed work is similar to an impressionistic painting, but with greater visual impact because of the depth of the collage.
